Privacy Policy
Chemist Near Me (Registered Pharmacy 1035491) is the data controller for the personal information you share with us. We take your privacy, and the confidentiality of your health information, seriously, and we handle your data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information we collect
Account and contact details (name, email, mobile number, password). Order and delivery details. Appointment and booking details. And, where you use our clinical or prescription services, relevant health information you choose to share so we can care for you safely.
We collect this directly from you, and, for NHS services and prescriptions, sometimes from your GP or the NHS.
How we use it and our lawful basis
To fulfil your orders and appointments and provide pharmacy services (performance of a contract). To meet our legal and professional obligations as a registered pharmacy. To send service messages such as order and booking confirmations.
Health information is special category data: we process it to provide health care under the management of a health professional, and otherwise with your explicit consent. We only send marketing (our newsletter) where you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We share data only as needed to serve you: with the NHS and your GP for NHS services and prescriptions; with our delivery drivers/couriers to get your order to you; with Stripe to take payment securely; and with our email provider to send confirmations and the newsletter you asked for.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect someone’s vital interests. We never sell your data.
Keeping your data and where it is held
We keep your information only as long as necessary, pharmacy and NHS records are retained for the periods set by NHS records-management guidance, and other data for as long as your account is active or as the law requires. We store data securely and use providers that protect it appropriately, keeping it within the UK or EEA wherever possible.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it.
Two of these you can use yourself, straight away and free of charge. Sign in and go to your account: “Download my data” gives you everything we hold as a single file, and “Erase my account” removes your details permanently. For anything else, email info@chemist-nearme.co.uk.
When you erase your account we delete your name, contact details, saved addresses, saved items, appointments and preferences, and cancel any monthly order so you are never charged again. We must keep your orders and any prescription requests: a pharmacy is required to be able to say what it supplied and to whom, and we have to keep sales records for six years. Those records are kept with your personal details removed from them.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies and security
Our site uses a small number of essential cookies, and analytics cookies only if you agree to them. See our Cookies Policy for details. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time and will post the latest version here. For any privacy question, email info@chemist-nearme.co.uk.
