Policies
Cookies Policy
Cookies are small files stored on your device that help a website work. We keep our use of cookies to a minimum, this policy explains what we use and why.
Last updated August 2026
Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the site working: remembering what’s in your basket, keeping you signed in securely, and protecting forms. The site can’t function properly without them, so under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they don’t require consent.
Functional storage
We use your browser’s local storage to remember your basket between visits. This stays on your device and isn’t used to track you.
Payments
When you check out, our payment provider Stripe may set cookies on its own secure checkout pages to process your payment and prevent fraud. These are governed by Stripe’s own privacy and cookie notices.
Analytics — only if you say yes
We would like to use Google Analytics to see which pages people find useful, so we can improve the site. It is not essential to running the shop, so we do not load it at all until you have agreed.
The first time you visit you are asked, with “Accept analytics” and “Essential only” offered equally. If you choose Essential only, nothing is loaded and no analytics cookie is ever set — we do not load it and then switch it off, we simply do not load it.
What we don’t use
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your browsing for advertising. If that ever changes we will update this policy and ask you again first.
Changing your mind
Whatever you chose, you can change it at any time: “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page reopens the question. Turning analytics off also deletes the analytics cookies already on your device.
You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings too, though some features (like your basket) may then stop working. Any questions, email info@chemist-nearme.co.uk.
